Fox studios have signed Hritik Roshan and Katrina Kaif for the Indian remake of Tom Cruise and Cameroon Diaz’s Knight and Day, called Bang Bang. This is a comedy action movie. Katrina Kaif’s career has always been on an upswing. This is the first Indian film to be shot entirely in Abu Dabi. Katrina Kaif looks sexy in a scarlet swimsuit. Knight and Day is the story about women who gets messed up with an eccentric spy who is rumored to be dead. She is unwittingly stuck up with him in his mission to prove that he is alive and is also trying to protect a widget that some other guy is trying to sell it in the underground market.
Bang Bang’s poster looks quite different from Knight and Day. This seems to be a water themed action movie. This is the second time Katrina is paired opposite Hrithik. Katrina had started her career modeling and debuted in Kaizad Gutad’s movie Boom. This movie bombed at the box office but it gave Katrina a lot of recognition. A Barbie doll is also fashioned after her. Her strong British accent had initially worked against her as she did not have a strong Hindi diction. Katrina looks like tasteful in her red swimsuit in the poster of Bang Bang. The poster has been designed aesthetically and nothing about her swimsuit look ostentatious. Though she debuted in Bollywood, she got the recognition through south Indian film industry.
Though she started her career in Bollywood in 2003, she gained the much needed recognition in 2007 through the movie Namastey London starring opposite Akshay Kumar. Her work was appreciated in movies like Bodyguard, Raajneeti, Singh is King, etc. She is also doing a couple of thriller, action, and romantic films in the coming year 2015. Fitoor, Jasoos Jasoos are slated to be filmed in the year 2015. Bang Bang might just be one of the biggest movies 2014 is awaiting. With a bombastic star cast and a story that is going to be an Indian remake of a Hollywood blockbuster, we can expect a lot of thrills from this movie.
Not much hype is generated as yet. However, the movie looks promising for a start. Katrina has done a cameo role in the movie Blue which is also a water themed thriller. This movie, however, bombed very badly at the box office. Not much is disclosed yet about the story and full star cast of Bang Bang.
This movie will be directed by Siddharth Anand who has also movies like Salaam Namaste, Anjaana Anjaani, Bachchana Aye Haseeno, and has written the screenplay of the movie Hum Tum. He has all hit movies to his credit. Katrina might have gone through lot of physical training for this action thriller movie. Katrina always looks splendid in a variety of roles ranging in action, comedy, thriller, and romantic movies. Her look in the poster of Bang Bang is gaining a lot of popularity.
